So, just thought I would blog about my recent endevour and lession of patience. God has tried over and over and over again to teach me patience, but as I tell others, "I was in the bathroom when God was handing out patience." At times, I have YET to learn anything!!
Anyway! I was late leaving Cookeville because of a class, but no worries just a headache. As I got closer to Lebanon and my gas gage got closer to the "E" mark, i saw a HUGE neon sign that said "I-40 closed up ahead, accident, exit now" Well people were still going that way and I didn't think much of it. WRONG...I got off at Lebanon for the simple fact that IF I was going to get stuck in traffic I didn't want to run out of gas too. As I reached the end of the off ramp, I noticed that a cop had the off ramp blocked off. So I began to call my wonderful father in law. My exact words? "HELP!!! There's a wreck, my head hurts, I'm hungry, almost out of gas, and STUCK" He got me throught the winding roads of Lebanon and I was home over an hour later.
Apparently some dumbo drove the wrong way and hit a semi head on.
Moral?-Drive in the correct direction!
